Attack Pattern

Repeats three actions of attacks. Draining Titan’s Break gauge unlocks stronger attacks, retaliation, and defensive stances.

Numbers count this boss’s own actions; combos are listed together. Battle-turn rules are labeled.

WhenAction
First action of the repeating patternChoose from Flatten (about 63%) or True Strike (about 37%) until Titan’s Break gauge has fallen to 90% or less; afterward use Fist of Fortification. If Titan’s fortress stance is active, this can also start Titan’s crushing attack.
Normal action 2Choose from Crushing Grasp (25%) or Stonera (75%).
Normal action 3At HP 60% or above: 60% Bonebreaker / 40% Fist of Ferocity. Below 60%: 60% Bonebreaker, 24% Fist of Ferocity, 16% Stonega.
Titan’s Break gauge falls to 90%, 60%, or 30% or less after damageAt 90%, strengthen the first attack. At 60%, enable retaliation and the crushing attack. At 30%, begin applying defensive stances. These thresholds use the Break gauge.
After the Break gauge has fallen to 30% or lessBefore attacking, apply the appropriate missing stance: Fortress Stance at HP 80% or above, Bastion Stance at 60% to below 80%, or Citadel Stance below 60%. Remove the other stance effects.
Starting Titan’s crushing attack from the fortress stanceShow a warning, drop the fortress effects, and use Flatten. If preparation remains active, use Pulverize next; Titan’s low-HP stance change can interrupt this preparation.
Choosing whom to attackUsually attacks the party member with the lowest HP. Stonera and Pulverize hit the whole party. Taunt or Camouflage can change who Titan attacks.

Pattern Changes

  • Once retaliation is enabled, draining more than 10% of Titan’s full Break gauge before Titan’s next action adds Fist of Ferocity after the attacking action ends, provided Titan is not staggered. Each trigger starts measuring the loss again, so enough further damage can provoke another extra attack.
  • Recovering from a stagger clears pending extra attacks and disables the major Break-gauge bonuses and crushing preparation.
